Hello! My name is Ksenia! I am a freelance photographer based in Portugal. I will tell about myself.
I’ve started working on TV when I was 15 years old. The magic of the shooting set impressed me so much that I wanted more and more ... I went a long way from a flapper girl (assistant director), props, administrator to executive producer. But at some point I realized that I just don’t want to work in the field of management. I want pure creativity.
Photography gives me the opportunity to stay in the atmosphere that I love so much. For many years I photographed backstage. I have worked on high rated international TV projects such as “The Bachelor” (Warner Brothers company) as a photographer and member of the creative team. And also, I collaborated with the dance subculture, photographed performances, Vogue balls. I have a lot of experience working with famous people, actors, hosts, producers, artists.
Reportage shooting taught me to be invisible and imperceptible, so as not to scare away real emotions, because as soon as a person knows that he is being shooted, he changes.
In recent years, I have transformed from a reportage photographer to the author of my own project. On my shootings I just create the circumstances, the atmosphere and put the person there. And then I observe and fix the moment.
I have a lot of experience shooting in different places around the world. From Europe to South Africa.
My photos were on the covers of “Vegetarian” magazine and “Elle Girl”, and also my photos were approved by the editors of “Vogue” Italy.
